No. As lead consortium partner, The Star Entertainment Group’s existing casino licence will be leveraged, negating the need for an additional casino licence. The existing Treasury Casino in the Brisbane CBD will continue to operate during the construction phase and is expected to relocate to the new integrated resort development, in the signature Arc-shaped building, in 2022. The heritage buildings presently occupied by Treasury Brisbane will be repurposed to house high-end retail and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, allowing greater public access to these iconic Brisbane landmarks.
