Mangrove Walk

The dedicated pedestrian boardwalk will offer diversity and variation, extending beyond the mangroves and linking Goodwill Bridge to the precinct.

The existing mangroves along the Brisbane River will become a feature for visitors to Queen’s Wharf Brisbane through the new Mangrove Walk.

Mangrove Walk will include interpretative heritage and integrated story-telling elements that will also provide an alternative path from the Botanic Gardens to Queen’s Wharf Plaza and Queens Wharf Road.

It will feature:

  • An Indigenous message trail.
  • An exploratory trail with educational installations and interpretive signage.
  • A series of landings and lookouts with shaded seating nooks to enjoy the view.
  • An elevated pavilion with views along the Brisbane River

It will also provide a launching facility for small non-motorised crafts such as kayaks and canoes.
