Weekend tower crane installation requires temporary detours and out-of-hours works on George Street

On Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October 2019, a temporary road closure will be required along George Street between Charlotte and Margaret Streets for heavy equipment installation and removal.

When:

From 5am to 8pm Saturday 26 October 2019 and Sunday 27 October 2019, tower crane installation and heavy equipment removal from the Queen’s Wharf site will occur. In the event of unfavourable weather or site conditions, works will occur the following weekend.

Where:

George Street will be closed to through traffic between Margaret Street and Charlotte Street. Detours will be in place for both southbound and northbound traffic.

What to expect:

Detour signage and traffic control will be in place to safely direct motorists and pedestrians.

Traffic impacts:
