The Printery and its associated courtyard will present fresh food markets and outdoor dining. The existing colonnades of the Printery building will provide increased accessibility to the building and its proposed stalls.
The building, set in the historic heartland, reflects a modern-day gourmet food hall and will become a tourist ‘must-see’ attraction as well as an everyday market for Brisbane residents.
It will showcase Queensland’s best local produce and merchants, hand-selected for their expertise and high-quality offering.
An urban adaptation of the classic Queensland fern house, the adjacent courtyard will become a cool and comfortable urban space, providing opportunities for informal dining.
Located at 110 George St, the building combines two buildings from the 1880s and 1910s; and the paved courtyard was established in the 1980s.
